  1. The first step is to decide what type of hosting package you would like from Dogbark, then go ahead and order your hosting from us.
  2. Once you have ordered, we'll send you an email that has a ton of information that you'll need to hang onto. Most importantly you'll find your pre-upload server information.
  3. If you have read our transfer guidelines page, you should know you'll be needing a copy of your site files. If you have that copy, or are starting from scratch, go ahead and log into the pre-upload server, upload your files, and get your site functioning the way you want it to function on our servers.
  4. Make sure all of your email accounts are set up with us through your account manager (or when you order), and be prepared to adjust your email program accordingly.
  5. Once your site is ready, and you feel comfortable, go ahead and change your DNS to point to Dogbark. The instructions for this step are in the email that we sent to you when you signed up with us. If you would rather that we do this for you email us with the following information.
    - Your Domain Name
    - A link to where you have registered your domain name.
    - The username and password we'll need to log into your account with the registrar
  6. This is when the waiting begins =). During the next 24-48 hours some people will see your site on the old servers, some people will see the site on ours, but your site will never "go down." Once you cannot receive emails with the old username and password you were using, that's the flashing light that says "the changes have taken place in your location."
  7. At this point, update your email programs with our login information that we have given to you, and from now on when you log in to work on your site to make changes you'll want to use the FTP server.
